Robert Holt's Collection

(Click on images below to enlarge)

Robert and Jane's Saunderson & Mills, serial no. 1100, is believed to be the oldest rear-steer Saunderson in preservation. In the right-hand photo it is shown with an original Saunderson water and fuel cart.

Robert’s favourite tractor is this IHC Titan 10-20, serial no. TV10007. This tractor was purchased from his very good friend Bill Wykes in the 1980s and still carries the original chassis stencilling.

This 1928 International 15-30 joined the collection three years ago and is in original condition, with only a mechanical restoration needed.

A recent purchase from Belgium is this nice original Hart-Parr 12-24, which Robert bought both as a 25th wedding anniversary present for his wife Jane, and in memory of his friend Lawrence Woolf.

Fordsons are Robert's main passion, and here we see a later-style Model F dating from 1922, and fitted with accessory wings and original Holly carburettor and manifold.

This is a Fordson Trackson crawler that came from Wisconsin. It is currently under restoration with the help of Ed Bezanson from the USA.

Robert’s first tractor was this 1941 'Land Utility' Fordson bought in 1975 for £25.00 and still in his collection today.

In the first photo below, a 1934 Fordson N with water-washer air cleaner stands beside a Case LA dating from 1941. Both tractors were fully restored from scrap condition, with the Fordson restoration taking five years to complete. The second photo shows Robert's son Richard at the wheel of the Case LA.

Returning to the Case theme, here we have a Case 10-18 that was purchased at the Larry Weber auction in Yuma, Arizona and shipped back to the UK via Germany with the help of Robert's good friend Joerg Mueller.

Robert's British-built Marshall Model M 12-20hp tractor is shown here pulling a binder.

Robert and Jane also have an interest in steam, and here is their 1917 Davey Paxman 7nhp agricultural engine, believed to be one of only four in existence.

The final picture shows a 1917 Model ‘T’ Ford. Robert is only the second owner from new and when he purchased this car it was cut in half. It has been fully restored with a new wooden frame and upholstery but still preserves the original bodywork.

Robert is currently looking for a Wallis 12/20 in good running condition to complement his ever growing collection. If you know of one, either in the UK or overseas, perhaps you could drop me an email and I will pass the information on to Robert.
